Tropical Storm Jerry moves further away from Trinidad and Tobago
Tropical Storm Jerry continues on a west-northwestward track, moving further away from Trinidad and Tobago while approaching the northern Leeward islands.
As of 2:00 pm today, Thursday 9th October, 2025, Tropical Storm Jerry was centred near 16.5N latitude, 60.0W longitude, approximately 380 km east-southeast of the northern Leeward islands. Jerry is moving toward the west-northwest at 30 km/h. Significant strengthening is unlikely as the system passes near or to the northeast of the northern Leeward Islands later today, bringing potentially heavy rainfall across portions of the northern Ledwards by tonight.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Barbuda, Anguilla, St. Barthelemy, St. Martin and Sint Maarten while a Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Antigue, St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Saba, St. Eustatius, Guadeloupe and the adjacent islands.
Tropical Storm Jerry poses no direct threat to Trinidad and Tobago and the risk posed by easterly swells generated by the system is expected to gradually diminish as Jerry moves further away.
THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WATCHES OR WARNINGS IN EFFECT FOR TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.
This will be the final official statement on Tropical Storm Jerry.
